It’s pumpkin time and that means getting your autumn and harvest decorations up. There are so many ways to decorate your. Here are three great ideas just to get you started.
Make Your Own Autumn Leaf Wreaths
The leaves are changing colours and falling. Making a wreath or two with them is an excellent way to make them useful while you’re raking the up. You just need a polystyrene hoop from any craft store and you can start sticking your multi-coloured leaves all over it. Look out for pinecones, acorns, and even chestnuts to add to your wreaths, too.
Make a Pumpkin Fruit Bowl
Pumpkins are great fun for harvest home decorations. Let’s start with a simple fruit bowl. It can also be a sweetie bowl if you prefer. Take the top off the pumpkin and scoop out the middle. It’s up to you if you want to carve or paint your pumpkin. You don’t really need to do either, but some painting can give you a more autumn feel. Once you’ve scooped out the middle, it’s ready for your fruit and sweets.
Arrange Your Mini Pumpkins on the Mantelpiece
Get a small box that’s longer than it is wide. Place a mixture of straw, mini pumpkins, and coloured leaves within it. Look out for different types of mini pumpkins, so you have a range of colours to look at. Just pop your decoration on the mantelpiece. You can also add some mason jars with twigs and pinecones if you’d like.
It’s time to get creative with the pumpkins, fallen leaves, and everything else that comes with the autumn months. Decorate your house for the harvest and really feel that autumn spirit.
